Dynamics HR implementation at NieuweStroom
NieuweStroom is a progressive energy supplier for the business sector in the Netherlands and Belgium. InHR Solutions supported NieuweStroom in the rollout of its new Microsoft Dynamics HR solution.
NieuweStroom purchases its energy directly in the wholesale market and utilizes smart technology to offer its customers transparent and fair energy prices. Established in 2012, as early as 2018 the company was in the top 10 of energy providers with a customer base of more than 15,000 companies. As NieuweStroom grew, the provider wanted to professionalize and automate its HR processes with a state-of-the-art HR solution.
NieuweStroom opted for Microsoft Dynamics HR, a cloud-based solution with all the necessary HR functionality and flexibility to expand the company further. The solution manages all the HR information in one place and offers, among other things, onboarding, talent development, feedback tools and HR self-service. An important argument in favor of this software package was the excellent option for integration with, among other things, Microsoft Office and Power applications. Those applications were already being used within NieuweStroom.
NieuweStroom selected InHR Solutions as its implementation partner for the project. As a Microsoft Gold Partner, InHR Solutions has all the required knowledge and experience to get the project off the ground quickly and ensure a problem-free configuration, rollout and integration. The first step was to implement the basic HR functionality. The HR administration was configured based on the existing organizational structure and roles. Next, the existing HR data was imported into the system. The different HR modules can subsequently be added to this foundation.
For NieuweStroom the main focal point was the introduction of Performance Management. NieuweStroom has made significant investments in structuring a competency framework for its employees. In close consultation with the HR team that competency framework was translated into a performance framework within Dynamics HR. This enables the employees and their managers to personally keep track of their skills and developments. They use this as a basis for the further planning of, for example, development objectives and training. This framework was introduced gradually, initially among the managers with a subsequent rollout to the employees.
The new HR system was received enthusiastically within NieuweStroom. Employees and managers had a very positive response to the expanded self-service options. HR team coordinator Madeleine Bruinink is particularly happy with the collaboration:
